Is a room still available to book for four days next month?

There was a 4,400 yen cleaning fee charged separately, which makes a one-night stay expensive. Check the details carefully before booking. The bathroom ceiling is low. At 160 cm, the exhaust fan was right in front of my face, and seeing how dirty it was made me uneasy. Someone around 180 cm tall might touch it while washing their hair, so I wouldn't recommend this place for taller people. I included a photo showing my head at 160 cm for reference. There was just one flimsy bath towel, about the size of a remote control, as shown in the photo. It wasn't enough for a stay, and though it's hard to tell from the picture, it looked like a rag, so I didn't use it. The hygiene was poor. There was mold all over the wall where the futon touched it. I'd never had coughing or shortness of breath before, even after walking 6 km on hilly roads and through forests, but after arriving here I started coughing regularly and also got headaches and nausea. The cleaning was inadequate, with other people's body hair scattered around. Even for stays of 20 nights or more, there was no cleaning, garbage collection, or linen change. We have already reported this to the public health center and the consumer affairs center. Booking.com admitted fault and refunded its profits, but the facility gave me an unfair choice and ignored my health problems: leave right away after only three nights and get just 50% compensation for the 27 nights, or keep staying in unsanitary conditions. They refused a fair refund for the 24 unused nights. Rules and penalties of 100,000 or 300,000 yen were also brought to my attention only after settlement. I believe that violates consumer contract law. This facility seems extremely dishonest and seriously lacking in its duty to keep guests safe. The laws I believe are relevant are the Consumer Contract Act, Articles 8 and 10, on invalid clauses that exempt businesses from damages caused by their negligence or unfairly harm consumers, such as unilateral fine notices; Civil Code, Article 415, on ending a contract when an essential service like hygiene management isn't provided; and Hotel Business Act, Article 4, on accommodation facilities' duty to maintain hygiene. We are taking legal action, including a claim under the Consumer Contract Act and Civil Code for a full refund due to breach of contract. Some rooms might be good, but given how dishonest the operation seems, I suspect most are probably bad. Feel free to try Russian roulette if you want :) I also heard heavy stomping, like someone walking in heels, after 2 AM, and was woken by a loud bang at 4:50 AM. Recommended if you need to get up around 4:50! Just be aware, the morning bang and stomping don't happen at fixed times.

Before I even checked in, the phone service had already spoiled the trip I was looking forward to. I booked through Agoda and couldn't figure out check-in, but the person answering was rude. They said the instructions had been emailed that day. When I asked where, they said email or the Agoda app, then couldn't explain where to find them in the app and told me to email the chat instead. Replies there were slow, so calling or cancelling seemed to be the only options, neither of which helped. I called a couple more times, still hadn't received anything, and eventually gave them my email address so they could send the instructions. I hadn't even known an email was due that day. When I called, they asked if I'd checked the email they'd sent, and I was like, "Huh?!" I never got one. They rarely answer the phone, and I wish the service were better. They should respond more promptly, especially when nobody is there. I felt so sad and won't use them again. Agoda rated the place 7.1, but Google had it at only 2, which shocked me. I think Google's rating is closer to the mark. Since the room was part of the same experience, I started noticing only its bad points: black marks on the walls, probably mold, and a really dirty ventilation fan. The price was cheap, so without the phone call problem, I think the room would've been worth the money.
