The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location in Aoshima was a real gem, close to everywhere I needed to go. I stayed one night on a solo self-drive trip and was so glad I chose this place. Ojisan was kind and very helpful with advice about Aoshima and where I was heading next. Getting that support in a foreign country felt really warm. Thank you for a great stay ☺️

The place was clean, and the girls were nice to chat with. The owner did his best to communicate with us, and his hospitality was as good as I could have asked for. Thanks for the good memories.

It’s a traditional japanese house, and the owner is one of the kindest. If you’re in Aoshima/Miyazaki, staying here is an experience you shouldn’t miss.

The rooms are open tatami spaces with a table in the middle. Bedding is kept in the closet, including futons, sheets, blankets, pillows, and pillowcases, so you set things up the way you like when you’re ready. There’s a toilet on each floor. The shower is downstairs by the kitchen and main room where the owner spends time. Towels and shower amenities were provided, though I’d brought my own. This is a traditional Japanese inn, and it felt like a family-run place rather than a chain. They seemed to want guests to have a good stay and made sure I had what I needed for my short visit. I arrived late, not long before check-in ended, but the owner was still awake and waiting. There’s space in the yard to park a few cars, which was handy. It’s a great option if you’re driving to Aoshima, though a bit far to get to without a car. I’d stay again and recommend it to travelers in the area looking for a more authentic experience.
