We had a wonderful first onsen stay, spending two nights in April 2025. We arrived by train, and the hotel was a short walk from the station. We only had a duffel bag, though. A staff member came out to greet us as we reached the entrance, and did the same whenever we came back. They recognized us and had our room key ready before we asked 😊. The meals were delicious and varied, and the little notes at breakfast made things feel personal. The chef also worked around my dietary requirements of veg plus crustacean. Thanks for making the two breakfasts and dinners interesting.

Dinner and breakfast were included, and both were thoughtfully prepared. The dining experience was memorable. I had an amazing one-night stay at Hotel Kitanoya, in a spacious room with a private hot spring and everything I needed. The bathroom was well stocked, with a nice shower and bathtub. I also tried the public bath and had the whole area to myself since the hotel wasn’t busy. It was really calming and relaxing. Service was friendly, professional, and personal from start to finish. Even with the language difference, the staff communicated well and helped with everything I needed. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re traveling to Amanohashidate!

After a day of travel and activities, this was a lovely place to come back to. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice lake view to wake up to in the morning. The indoor and outdoor sections of the onsen were a great touch, and the staff were kind and helpful. There was also a lounge with free drinks and lots of board games for both adults and kids. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night in a room with a private hot spring and had a really enjoyable time, including a midnight soak. Since it was a birthday holiday, the hotel gave us two complimentary white wines. The service was excellent. It would’ve been perfect for me if breakfast were buffet style instead of set.
