The staff are polite and do their best to speak English using a translation machine. The hotel is well maintained, with free parking. It’s a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel, though the nearest 7-11 is 2.4 km away.

The public bath closes at 9am, and they provide Japanese breakfast. It was quite comfortable.

The old house has a big room and a good view, but I didn’t care for the breakfast.

The view of the river from our room was fantastic. We were three people, and a friendly older woman looked after us attentively. The inn is an old building with a lot of history, but the toilets were in good shape and the large public bath was usable, so we had no problems. There wasn’t a refrigerator in the room, so we used the shared one on the first floor.

The bath turned out to use hot spring water, which was a lovely surprise! I was walking on pilgrimage and, when the Minshuku between temples 65 and 66 was full, went a little farther and found this place. The building is clearly old, but it's kept in great shape and was very clean. My pretty room had a river view and its own sink. There’s no dinner service, though prepared meals are available, and breakfast was very good. The owner was warm and welcoming. I'd happily come back and recommend it to pilgrims looking for a place to stay along the way. Thank you for such an affordable stay 🙏🏼 ♨️
