Hotel Winbell Magic

The walls were thin enough that I could hear almost everything from outside my room. Still, I enjoyed my two-night stay. The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. I also appreciated the vending machines. The rest of the stay was really good, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The nearby underground station makes getting around easy, though you usually need to take a train to reach central Kobe. There’s a somewhat dodgy area close to the hotel, but I wouldn’t say it feels unsafe to walk around. My room was very clean and quiet, the receptionists were polite, and breakfast had a nice range of simple dishes. I was surprised to find the toilet separate from the bathroom, which isn’t common in business hotels like this. Good value overall.

The hotel was clean and felt luxurious, and our two-bed room had a huge bathroom, probably the biggest I’ve used at a hotel in Japan. A single room might have a smaller one. Breakfast cost extra, and there was no automatic room make-up service, so we had to call the front desk for cleaning or fresh towels. Still, it was a very nice stay. The location was handy too, right by a train station, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and plenty of food choices.

The room was tidy and clean, about average in size for a Japanese business hotel, though I was glad the shower and toilet area was spacious. Breakfast was delicious and had a nice variety, with plenty of seats. Check-in was outstanding. The kind gentleman was so friendly and helpful, explaining the hotel’s amenities and other things. Everyone seemed genuinely happy, which was refreshing.
