A solid budget option. The building’s a bit old, but it has what you need: easy-to-use light controls, a basic bathtub, and a fridge. There’s a microwave near the elevator, and a sukiya restaurant just a two-minute walk away. I’d recommend it to anyone watching their spending.

My room looked out over the town and mountains, and it was quiet and comfortable. The internet was fast, and the front desk staff were very helpful. Shopping, restaurants, and the JR station take a moderate walk to reach. Dinner is available on weeknights.

The staff were nice, though it was hard to communicate with them in English. The room was fine, and they leave extras like face wash and body lotion. I liked the view from the 10th floor, but internet is LAN only. You can’t connect a phone or a laptop unless it has a LAN port.

The rooms are average, and I didn’t find much English spoken by the staff, which made things difficult for me. They were very cooperative, though, as I think is common in Japan. This seems to be the only good hotel available in Miyoshi.
