Tabist Raika Hiroshima Miyoshi

Just off the Chugoku Expressway at Miyoshi Interchange, this is a convenient overnight stop. It works well for longer work stays or when you're worn out from a long drive.

Even on the eve of a holiday, the price was great. The room is basic, but does the job if all you need is somewhere to sleep. There’s no fridge in the room, though there is a shared one.

For a business trip, I stayed here and initially wasn't keen on sharing the bathroom, toilet, and refrigerator. After three days, though, I'd somehow gotten used to it. The bathroom and toilet were clean. The fridge is small, so don't buy too much or it won't fit. There's a kitchen with basic utensils if you want to cook. The always-present male staff member with glasses was very kind. My one complaint was how dirty the carpet was. I highly recommend the teppanyaki place next door. Thanks for the hospitality.

It was really stressful that smoking was allowed in the same shared space where some older men and women sprawled out with drinks and snacks and played videos on their phones at full volume for over two hours. There were several other guests, including high school or college students, who greeted me whenever we passed, so seeing people only focused on their own enjoyment was especially disappointing. Even trying to smoke meant putting up with all that noise. I've stayed at plenty of places where this happens despite other guests being around, and honestly, I don't understand why I gave it one star.
