Fukuya Ryokan

We’ve stayed here four times over roughly the past ten years. It’s a lovely traditional inn close to the station, with comfortable rooms and a great bath for relaxing. The family who runs it are super nice, and there’s a cute little cafe next door. Highly recommend!

Staying here was a valuable experience. It made me imagine how people once lived in IKEDA-cho. The bathroom is awesome, almost like an ONSEN, and the patio has a very classical feel. I’d seen someone mention the keyless doors, but I prefer the traditional sliding doors and decorated glass. There’s also a safety box inside the guest room, so I’m not worried about it.

Really convenient motel, and I loved the place. The host was very friendly, and the meals were delicious and more than enough for one person.

I spent the night here before catching a bus from Sadamitsu Station to Mt. Tsurugi. The building has some age to it, but it was clean and comfortable. There’s no lock on the room door, though a safe is provided. The bath isn’t a hot spring, and I had it all to myself even though it could fit about three people. Wi-Fi worked, and my room had a yukata, big and small towels, a toothbrush, kettle, tea, and snacks. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, plus a 7-Eleven at the station.
