Hotel Select Inn Saitama Moroyama

The 7th-floor Japanese-style room was quiet and comfortable, so I’d pick it over the 4th-floor Western-style room. In the Western-style room, little noises from the air conditioner and UB kept me awake. The room itself was fairly spacious, though the building is old and the keys and lights work with a key. The unit bathroom is cramped, and the step down into it is high, which could be hard for older people with weak legs. The door is a bit loose. I imagine that’s because guests use the knob to steady themselves going into the bathroom, so a handrail would be helpful. Breakfast costs 550 yen and you need to reserve and pay the night before. There isn’t much choice in the side dishes, but it’s enough. Since there are hardly any places nearby serving breakfast, and rice balls with tea from a convenience store come to around 500 yen, I’d recommend the breakfast plan. There aren’t many business hotels nearby, which is why I stayed here. The hotel has no parking lot of its own, but staff can point you to parking around the neighborhood. The front desk woman’s Japanese was so polite it almost felt intimidating. The other staff were also very courteous and provided excellent hospitality.

The weekday curry was more than just a free extra, it was generous and tasted great. There are convenience stores and drugstores close by, so picking up anything else was easy. The staff at the front desk were a huge help, and everyone was friendly. I stayed in both a Western-style room on the 4th floor and a Japanese-style one on the 7th. The 7th-floor room was quiet and comfortable; in the 4th-floor room, faint sounds from the air conditioner and UB bothered me at night. I’d stay here again if I have work nearby.

The rooms were clean and the staff were incredibly kind, even though the outside of the building looks a little old. I stayed twice in March, and the TV having YouTube, Hulu, and Abema made the stay really comfortable. It’s close to the station, convenience stores, and supermarkets, too. I’d happily stay here again when I’m in the area. Thanks for the great service!

The hotel’s appearance doesn’t tell the whole story. The staff are professional and attentive to guests, and the hospitality is top-notch. I’d highly recommend staying there and seeing for yourself.
