The room was more spacious than other hotels, and the service was excellent. It's in a spot that suited me, not crowded but still easy to get around because it's close to the train station. A Welcome Suica makes getting about easier. Thanks, I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Our room was great value, only £60 a night even though we booked with two days' notice. It had a washing machine, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, so I'd definitely recommend it. The place is in a quiet residential neighborhood with a 24-hour Lawson about 100 metres away. It's a little out of the way, but Nishi Nippori station is around a 10-minute walk down a straight road. You can catch the Yamanote line there, which connects to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku and other tourist spots. Trains run about every four minutes from 5 AM until midnight.

The room felt tired and not very cozy, and it wasn't especially foreign friendly. The bins, remote and washing machine had Japanese writing only. Four of the five windows had no curtains, half the lamps didn't work, and the air conditioning barely cooled the place. Four hours after we turned it on, it was still much too hot. Water bubbled up from the sink during the night.

The room felt luxurious compared with the other hotels we've stayed in so far in Japan. It came with a patio, sink, fridge, microwave, TV, washing machine, bins, slippers, toothbrushes and more, plus a lot of towels. We arrived well before check-in hoping to leave our bags while we went out. There was nobody at the front desk, but the receptionist came right away when we called, let us store the luggage, and even brought it up to the room once it was ready.
