The setting on an open hilltop is what stood out, with a wonderful view of Ie Island from the rooftop of the single-story building. Inside, the space is generous, and the raised Japanese-style room was a comfortable place to relax. I especially enjoyed the spacious rock bath and took a long soak in the morning to take in the view. The kitchen and tableware were fully equipped, which made it easy to feel at home. I stayed at Ryukyu Suitei Kagayaki, but it was farther up the mountain than the map pin suggested. The narrow nearby roads and similar scenery made it easy to get lost, particularly at night. I have a poor memory and only found it on my third day. Parking is just below the facility, with plenty of room and easy access, then it's a short climb up a few steps. My one regret is that the cafe and restaurant, Hikari, may not reopen. When heading out at night, turn on the outdoor and indoor lights so you can see landmarks in the dark.

The OCEAN room had a view of the sea and Ie Island in the distance, and felt like moving into a new apartment. I was very happy with it. I booked for two through Jalan after seeing the great online reviews. When I called to ask about a free barbecue rental, the owner switched my booking from SKY because its balcony was too small. (╹◡╹) There were plenty of dishes and cooking tools, so we bought what we needed at The Big (Aeon supermarket) and Daiso, a 10-minute drive away, and had a barbecue. The equipment was a little small and cheap, so we had to cook in several batches. The washing machine also rattled quite a bit and made me worry it might explode. Still, for the low price I was generally very satisfied, and I'd use the service again when visiting the northern part of the island. Thank you! (o^^o)

We were a group of eight and were really pleased to find a vacation-home-style house at such a low price. It's clean inside, and we could have a BBQ in the garden, so I think it works especially well for groups. The nearest convenience store and supermarket are about a 10-minute drive, which is a little inconvenient, but otherwise I have no complaints. ✨

The outdoor view was lovely, and the interior has distinctive decorations. It's a great old-style guesthouse. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, and be aware there's no WiFi.

The bath was enormous and had a real hot-spring feel. It took a little while to fill, but it was worth waiting for. The night view was amazing too. ✨😇
