We booked two rooms for July 9th. When our four families arrived to check in at 10 pm, the password didn't work. We were exhausted and panicking, and it took two hours to get inside. Customer service didn't respond during that time, and the merchant still hasn't replied or apologized. Here’s how we eventually got in. The password we were first given was wrong, and the key box wouldn't open. We tried different things and searched through several emails but couldn't find the right code. We even rang the bell to ask the Japanese guests in the next building for help. After checking our confirmation email and trying the locks on Building 2, he said, regretfully, that he couldn't help us. We then climbed onto the second-floor balcony. Fortunately, a balcony window at Building 1 was unlocked, so we got in that way. We couldn't unlock the door from inside for our friends waiting outside. Eventually we found the PIN in the guestbook in the second-floor living room, tried it, and finally opened the key lock so everyone could enter. I hadn't wanted to make a fuss in the middle of a trip, and I wasn't after compensation. I was just very unhappy with the merchant's attitude. Before check-in, our email exchanges had been normal. Once I wrote to report this serious problem, there was no reply at all. After reading the merchant's message, I think they assumed our entry meant the password they'd supplied was correct. That's why I'm explaining what actually happened. If you've booked with this place, please check the reviews and confirm the password with the merchant ahead of time. Otherwise, check-in could be very difficult.
