It's a very inexpensive place, and the other guests were generally friendly. You get what you pay for in terms of service, though, so I wouldn't stay for a long time. The check-in arrangements and the bunk heights in the sleeping area disappointed me. Staff weren't around all day, so another guest checked me in, which felt really strange. I never interacted with staff during my stay. After my review, the owner replied quickly, which I appreciate. I do want to clarify that I'd tried contacting them earlier. They also ignored a later message asking to change the length of my stay.

The people made this nature stay feel like home. Taiga, Akane, Oliver, and Raphael were all lovely, helpful, and accommodating. I felt so relaxed I extended my stay. I'm vegan, and they kindly set aside a grill just for me during the bonfires and BBQs. The hammocks were a great place to sunbathe or watch the sunrise. It's in a beautiful jungle setting near Nago. I cycled to town in about 30 minutes on an electric bike, and Kouri and Sesoko islands are easy to reach by car. Without a car, it's about an hour's ride each way. The birds sound amazing, and orange blossom farms are just a five-minute walk around the corner. The local people are so sweet. I also recommend running around here if you don't mind hills, the mountain views are amazing.

The owner was away with their newborn during our stay, but the owner's parents were so warm and kind. Our kids had a great time with the children from other families, especially during a water gun fight with the owner's father 😂 and while setting off fireworks. We all enjoyed our stay. It's easy to get to different places in northern Okinawa, and we could do laundry on site. More tables or chairs inside the room and in the kitchen for guests to use would be helpful. Even so, I'd choose to stay here again over a resort or hotel.

Tiaga, the owner, was fun and easy to spend time with, and he's also a great scoba diver and snorkeling guide. He shared his favorite food recommendations in Okinawa. The owners are friendly, fun, and laid-back. The place feels like paradise, peaceful and beautiful in the middle of nature. It was the highlight of my whole Japan trip. I absolutely recommend it and would love to come back.
