The Villas Machidoya

The owner's kindness turned this into a wonderful Okinawa memory. I left my earphones behind and thought I'd lost them while moving on to Naha. I contacted the owner to ask if delivery might be possible, and they brought them to my room in Naha. I offered to thank them, but they said it wasn't needed. They'd even carefully wrapped the change we'd left as a tip and sent it along with the earphones. Ha ha ha I was so touched. The owner deserves a million stars for that after-sales help. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with excellent facilities. Having bathrooms on both floors was handy for a family, and the location is right next to the Churaumi Aquarium. The tatami mats upstairs were soft and fluffy, a treat if you like Japanese tatami. The bed was great, and the heating worked well. There were plenty of cooking utensils, a microwave, a small fridge, an oven, and a large refrigerator. The price is reasonable. A family might otherwise need to book two hotel rooms, but we'll definitely come back. It deserves a perfect score even before that wonderful service.

The house has two floors, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, plus a private parking space for each building. The kitchen is set up for cooking, with a gas stove, oven, microwave, washer, and dryer. At around NT$6,000 for a weekday night, it felt like very good value. It's near the Churaumi Aquarium and about a five-minute walk from a Lawson convenience store. The host shares a mailbox code, and you use the key inside to get in.

With a dryer and everything needed for daily laundry, it was easy to change clothes during a summer trip to Okinawa. The place was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Its location near the aquarium makes it a good fit for a family.

It was clean and pleasant, though the day was really windy. The first floor stayed a little chilly even with the heater on, but upstairs was warm and I slept well. Getting the key from the locker was an unusual touch. There are three rooms on the second floor, so four of us could share comfortably. Families could stay longer here. I think it cost around 270,000 won, while city hotels were about 250,000 won. I had a good rest and would like to stay two nights next time I visit. ^~^
