Right at the bottom of the chair lifts, so the location couldn't be better. It's a great lodge run by a really friendly, knowledgeable, hospitable bunch. Breakfast is included, and they serve tasty Asian dinners, sometimes Western style, each evening for a reasonable price. The cocktails are great and the coffee is cracking too. Highly recommend.

The downstairs onsen is piping hot and has minerals that are meant to help you recover after a full day of boarding. The people at Lodge Myoko are very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. I'd highly recommend this lodge.

The shared bathroom was never a hassle, and it was always clean. There was plenty of space for gear, plus a dry room, and breakfast each morning was really convenient. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the lifts, and the beds were the most comfortable we've had in Japan. Great value. We'll definitely return!

The lodge is about 100m from the ticket point for Ikenotaira, by Hotel Alpin Blick, and another 100m to the lift. The team can also arrange rides to resorts for a fee or help with buses. Nearby options include Suginohara, Ikenotaira, Akakura Kanko, Seki Onsen, and Tangram/Madarao. We followed the boarding staff's advice on where to ski based on the weather, and had fresh powder, untracked runs, and almost no lines all week. They also warned us about areas with walk outs. The people running the place were legends, helpful from the start and made us feel like family. One of them picked us up at Akakura bus stop. The lodge had apparently just been renovated and reopened in Jan 2025. You can get there by bus in about 6 hours or train in 3.5 hours. The bus is likely easier, though slower. There was room for three of us, with comfy Western style mattresses on small bases, not quite on the ground. Our ensuite bathroom was tiny but did the job, and there was a larger shared bathroom too. We had lots of space for boards and gear, including a dry room. The common room had a big TV showing snow sports on YouTube, a little speaker, space to relax, and a piano for anyone who can play. There's also a stone hot bath big enough for a few people. Breakfast was miso, rice, eggs, toast, and spreads. Dinner is available at a small extra cost, and the staff were happy to recommend places to eat and arrange a ride into town. Can't fault the lodge or staff. We'll definitely be back.

Right by the chair lifts, so it's super convenient for snowboarding. The place is affordable, the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I'll definitely come back.
