Oyado Hana

The hostess was so considerate and kind, and my family had a great time here. We liked the clean surroundings and warm decor, and found the rooms, hot springs, shower, and kitchen satisfying. It's also very close to the train station. We'll definitely return to this lovely town and stay at Oyado Hana again.

Small room and shared toilets, but it's close to the train and bus station, which was convenient after kumank kodo. There are enough food choices and convenience stores nearby. It's cheap and very much a get what you pay for place, though I have no complaints. I booked through booking.com and later got scam messages on whatsapp containing my booking details, including my name and dates. I'm not sure who was responsible for the security lapse.

The guesthouse is close to the station, but nights are quiet and you don't hear trains. A supermarket and pharmacy are about a nine minute walk away. Each room gets 25 minutes to use the hot spring, and towels, shavers, and toothbrushes are provided. There are self service lockers for small luggage before check-in or after checkout, plus a place to lock up larger bags yourself. Inside, there's one shared restroom and two shower rooms, a water dispenser for refills, and a fridge for storing food. A reasonably priced way to enjoy a Japanese style guesthouse.

Nothing fancy, but it was comfortable, with shared facilities. This is a simple, cosy Japanese style inn just behind the station, with polite, friendly staff. I only used the shower, though there's also a bath you can reserve in advance. When we visited, most of the guests were foreign tourists and the staff spoke English. It's not a hotel, so don't expect that level of service.
