Guest House FUTARENO - Hostel

I liked my stay overall. The guesthouse is cute, clean, homey and thoughtfully put together. There are a couple of things worth knowing, though: you have to be back by the strict 1:00am curfew. On checkout day I sat in the entrance common area for about 15 minutes to finish my tea before heading to my next stop. I was asked to leave, which caught me off guard and made the end of an otherwise pleasant stay feel rushed and uncomfortable.

Everything felt cozy and friendly, and the people there were lovely and spoke well. I stayed for three days and it was just right. The bed was traditional and very comfortable, the showers were good, and the air conditioning gets really cold. The location is handy too, within walking distance of the art gallery, Lawson, a pizza place and other nice spots.

The owners speak decent English, and the rooms are comfortable, with soft futons that made it easy to sleep deeply. The guesthouse is clean and quiet, with a really nice atmosphere, and its location works well for reaching most tourist spots. I had a great stay without spending too much, and would highly recommend it. Just remember there's a curfew: the doors close at 1am and reopen in the morning.

The owners were very kind and gave us useful suggestions for places to visit. My husband and I stayed in the mixed dorm and had no trouble there. There are complimentary showers, snacks and tea on the first floor. The hostel is near the station, restaurants and shops, and I'd happily come back if I visit Japan again.
