Wyndham Garden Nagaizumi

The room was neat and clean, the food was great, and the staff were hospitable. Excellent service at a reasonable price. I'd recommend it.

I loved escaping the busy city for a peaceful spot out in the countryside.

The booking site's photos and details were probably left over from the previous management. So many things were broken or missing: no toilet paper, towels, hairdryer, tissues, or electric kettle. The public bath couldn't be used, the bathroom in the room had no electricity, and the bath chair was out on the balcony. The refrigerator wasn't plugged in, so it was unusable. It was also unsanitary. There was some kind of residue and a wet sponge in the sink, and mold in the bathroom. The table looked clean at first, but one quick wipe turned the dishcloth gray. I'd just eaten there, and that horrified me. The whole place felt like that, so I worried about whether the sheets were clean too. I was too scared to use the dishes and utensils they provided. It was a very unpleasant stay.

Having meals in the Western-style condominium room was so much fun, and especially convenient if you have dogs. The waiter was very kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him. Everyone at the restaurant was helpful, and they were very considerate even though we arrived late. When someone asked if I knew Shizuoka Prefecture, I couldn't answer then. But looking back, I used to come here often with my family as a child, and it holds lots of fond memories. I've made some good new ones here too.
