Chateraise Hotel Nagano

I was here for a company networking party, not an overnight stay. The building is huge, and the grand hall’s three-floor atrium made a real impression on me. It’s probably the finest venue in Nagano City. There’s also a cake shop on the ground floor, which makes sense for a place run by Chateraise. The meal was ordinary party food, with small portions and average flavor. The beer was a bit lukewarm, omg. Cake and coffee came at the end, but the cake still had the plastic film used on shop-bought cakes around it. I think they should’ve taken that off. I’d like to come back and stay overnight.

We had a large family room that felt modern and comfortable. Being within walking distance of the train station was handy, and the restaurant is worth trying. The welcome cake and unlimited ice cream are a real treat, especially if you’re a Chateraise cake fan.

The staff were wonderful, and I really enjoyed the free ice cream available around the clock and the daily cake. It’s an easy 5-7 minute walk from Nagano station. The room wasn’t large, though it did feel bigger than the usual Japan standard.

We spent two winter nights here with the kids and had a good stay. It’s about five minutes from Nagano station. The room and bed were decent, the onsen was large, and there were complimentary desserts and welcome treats.
