The location made the stay easy: the station is close by, with plenty of restaurants around and convenience stores just a short walk away. Staff were polite and professional, though our interactions were mostly limited to the basics. The room was clean and practical, but very standard and a little dated. There wasn’t much of a view either, which was disappointing but not a dealbreaker. Island Hotel is a comfortable, convenient choice for a short stay in Nagano if you want something functional rather than luxurious.

Getting here was easy, only about an 8-minute walk from the station, and my booking was done in under two minutes since I’d booked ahead. The room was warm, clean, and cozy. I also really liked the baths, and they had the high-end shampoo and conditioner I use at home. Some good restaurants are nearby too.

Only a five-minute walk from the train station. The room was clean, and the staff were nice. I’d recommend it.

The mountains were a great view from the hotel. It’s close to Nagano station and has plenty of parking, with lots of nearby restaurants and breakfast options. The rooms are spacious and the facilities comfortable. The carpet is showing its age, but it wasn’t a big problem.
