The experience was truly uncomfortable, so we're sorry to give such a low rating. Some old furniture also felt like a serious safety concern: the glass tabletop broke when I leaned on it. I wasn't hurt, fortunately, but those worn items could put people at risk. Our room didn't have basic things like a hair dryer or razor. At the counter, the staff seemed more like a billboard than people eager to try to meet our needs, and Google Translate, which only recognized Japanese-English, barely helped us communicate. The hotel also charged each person 150 yen per night as an onsen tax. It wasn't much money, but it felt bad because the charge hadn't been announced on the website.

Best breakfast ever! The rooms were nice and clean, with a sun annex, patios, fridges, and a communal kitchen. Staff made up the floor beds in the evening and put them away in the morning. The onsen was cozy, and there was a cafe.

The location is quiet, with restaurants and convenience stores reachable on foot, and it was totally worth the money. It's a very nice traditional inn with a 24-hour onsen. The owners were helpful and accommodating.

The meals were delicious, and although the room felt old and a little worn, it was clean and very comfortable. I stayed the night before skiing and would definitely use this inn again. The waitresses were polite and helpful. There are spaces for about eight cars in front; any more have to park around 300 meters away, so ask the lobby when you arrive. The hot spring water comes directly from the source and seems to be heated in winter. It was so hot I could only stay in for about a minute. The water was good, but too hot for me to enjoy a longer soak. An extra towel costs 220 yen, and you need to ask the front desk by 10 PM.
