The staff were really friendly and helpful. They arranged to ship our luggage to Osaka, and our bags from the first stop were already waiting when we arrived. Check-in uses a self-service kiosk, then you bring the ticket to the front counter to swap it for a physical key. That key also powers the lights, so if you’re staying with others, you’ll need to plan around it. The setup probably helps with language barriers.

The stay was during peak season, so all the rooms were booked and we couldn’t switch to a non-smoking room. I’m not sure whether the hotel or the website is to blame. The booking page put the smoking room at the top of the home page, and when we realized it was wrong, the hotel told us to make the change online. But the website said to contact the hotel directly. It felt like they were just sending us in circles. Their check-in and check-out times are strict, 4 pm and 10 am. I went to the airport with my brother-in-law, and when we got back it was noon, so they charged us another ¥2000 for the extra time.

The hotel’s close to the station, but it’s surrounded by adult video shops, strip clubs and similar places. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s okay. Breakfast wasn’t good.

It was cheap, but there wasn’t much else to it. No toothbrush or toothpaste in the room, maybe because of COVID rules? The neighborhood around it is pretty lively, though.

Check-in isn’t until 4 pm. Why so late? The international standard is 2 pm, and this place isn’t even cheap. Wouldn’t recommend it if you have other options!
