The breakfast was good quality, but I wouldn’t recommend the fugu dinner course. We’ve had fugu many times, and this time the dishes seemed to have been prepared in advance and served later. Maybe that was because we chose the latest dinner session and the earliest breakfast session. Aside from that disappointing meal, it was a perfect stay at the Ryokan. Our newly renovated room was spacious and luxurious, and I felt very relaxed there. Everything in it was perfect. It was in a separate Annex, with only one other room on our floor.

We traveled with our 2 yrs old daughter, and the hotel even brought extra food, including onigiri for her, to our room after she got impatient and interrupted dinner in the restaurant. The service was great, the food was high quality, and the view from our room was astonishing. It’s a hotel my husband and I want to visit again and again.

We loved our room, a western room with beds and a terrace, and the hotel overlooks the Taineji river. There’s also a terrace where guests can sit and enjoy the peace, whether relaxing or having lunch. The place was incredibly clean and efficient, and the owner was fantastic, with amazing service. Our family lives nearby, and we’re so glad we found this hidden gem in Nagato-shi. We can’t wait to come back!
