Yumoto Kanko Hotel Saikyo

The private onsen rental was good. If I remember right, it was around 2200 yen for an hour. The staff were friendly, the location was good, and the car park was only a one-minute walk away. It's a big hotel, though quite dated, and most facilities, including bowling and karaoke, weren't open during my stay. My room was spacious, but a few insects had gotten inside, which was pretty scary.

I only made a day trip to Yumoto, I wasn't staying overnight. I visited Yumoto Kanko onsen and really liked it. The public bath costs 1000yen, and you get towels, razors, shower caps, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial soap, and body lotion. There are lockers for shoes and personal things, too. The baths were wonderful, well worth the money.

It's a lovely classic ryokan with beautiful tatami rooms and different entertainment on each floor. The onsen was really enjoyable, and the food was top notch. They're also offering a beautiful firefly tour at night right now. 10/10.

The place is old, but at this price it's really good value, and the service is exceptional. At the start of our meal, a kindly older waiter, or maybe a supervisor, came over personally to thank us for visiting. Incredible.
