Such a nice atmosphere here. A great place.

Nagatoro Station is only about a three-minute walk away, so it worked really well as a sightseeing base, and the price felt like good value. The rooms are comfortable, too. It’s a private lodging made from a renovated home, with three rooms and a shared living room and kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to bring ingredients and cook. The living room is roomy and relaxing, though it can be a little awkward when other groups are using it. Be sure to contact them ahead of time about your check-in time. A staff member comes over when it’s time.

It’s a charming old-style house with lots of greenery inside, and the free parking for two cars was handy. The location right by the Nagatoro torii gate also made things really convenient after we checked in. I stayed with a group of friends in Nagatoro. Check-in wasn’t until 4pm, so we had around three hours to wait and got pretty bored. If evening check-in were possible, I’d come back next time.

We’ve stayed here during Golden Week two years in a row, in 2024 and 2025, and really like the feel of the old house. The owner also runs a coffee shop and is friendly and helpful. There are two kinds of beans at the inn to grind and brew yourself, and once you’ve used them up, you can take the beans back to the coffee shop for refills. I do wonder if it’ll get hard to book if the place becomes too popular. We came as three families. Nagatoro Station is within walking distance, and there’s free parking for two cars. Quite a few restaurants nearby close at 5 PM, so we picked up groceries at the supermarket and cooked instead. The kitchen utensils are supplied, and there’s a water dispenser, so we had what we needed. The living room is spacious enough for 10 people. The kids, who are in middle and high school, made curry by themselves, and it was delicious. There’s a lot to like here: it’s comfortable, the facilities are excellent, and the owner’s thoughtful personality comes through.
