The owners were really friendly, and the house was clean and pleasant. You get to enjoy the whole place, which works well for a group of up to nine people.

I was a bit nervous since I’d never stayed in a guesthouse before, but the owner was so kind and lovely. The building has style, and while it isn’t new, it’s looked after well and feels comfortable. We had the place to ourselves because there were no other guests, which made it really relaxing. They provided towels, and the price was reasonable. I’d recommend it to anyone after comfortable, affordable lodging.

We came as a family and had a great time. The bunk beds, watching TV in the downstairs living room, and having drinks from the convenience store made it feel like a vacation home. It was incredibly comfortable, and we’d love to come back. There was no cell phone reception or electricity, but that’s how we got to see such a magnificent starry sky. It felt like being up in the heavens. As others have said, the water pressure is a little weak. Even though the place was fully booked, we happened not to run into anyone else. The homeowner left us to ourselves in a good way, so we didn’t have to interact much.

There’s not much around, so if you’re staying without meals, buy food and drinks before you arrive. The room has no refrigerator or anything fancy. I was alone and didn’t have meals, but it worked out fine. The place seems more suited to families or groups. My Japanese-style room was clean, with four outlets in two spots. The lighting was too dim for writing, even with the lamp-like fixture, and could be improved. Individual air conditioning was good. Free Wi-Fi had decent speed. Shower pressure was weak, though a shower was provided, along with face and bath towels. The location is amazing if you like being away from everything, but it’s very hard to find. I got lost even with navigation, and without it you’d never find the place. After sightseeing on the Motobu Peninsula, I stayed here because I planned to circle the peninsula clockwise via Cape Hedo the next day. I didn’t see any other guests, despite this being my first guesthouse stay. I only learned at checkout that Tenkuu is pronounced “amakara,” not “tenkuu.” There’s room for one car inside the building, and you can put a bicycle or motorcycle there too. It’s right by the entrance, so you stay dry in the rain. Overall, it wasn’t bad, and I’m writing this honestly, without bias.
