The price is a good value compared with other three-star hotels, and it’s probably close to Nagoya eki. Cleanliness brought my rating down, especially the scheduled room cleaning. They made the bed and cleaned the bathroom, but the bin and carpet weren’t taken care of. Looking under the bed was enough to give me a nightmare. Amenities weren’t replenished, and there wasn’t much choice at the front desk. For some reason, the bathroom tap kept running hot even when I turned it all the way to cold. It’s still decent value, but spending a few dollars more elsewhere might give you a better chance of a perfect stay.

The rooms were about what you’d expect at this price for a Japanese business hotel, and the location is fantastic. They serve a light breakfast, though some items usually ran out because a few tourists took a lot. Still, it’s a good place to stay.

There are loads of great restaurants within a five-minute walk, with grilled meat and sushi especially popular around here. A fish market nearby gets busy in the morning too. The hotel is simple and decent for a short stay, but it sits next to a dual carriageway, so the views aren’t anything special. We found the rooms a bit cramped, with little space to set down luggage, and the breakfast was on the small side as well. (See photo.)

Breakfast is a generous Asian-style buffet. The rooms are standard Japanese size, and check-in was easy. You can pick up toiletries and a nightshirt yourself in the reception area.

The room was small, but everything worked, and the hotel was clean and pleasant. Breakfast is limited to coffee, juice, fruit, and cereal. If you just want a nice clean place to sleep, this does the job. I got there at 14:13, 47 minutes before check-in, and was offered early check-in for about $11. That little extra charge was annoying, but otherwise I had a nice stay.
