The location made it easy to get to local shops, combinis, and transport, and I found the staff very polite and helpful. They were understanding of my limited Japanese, and check-in was quick and simple. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it for Nagoya. My room was tidy and a good size. The bed was bigger than a single but smaller than a double, and fine for one person. It had a kettle, green tea, one bottle of water per day, and a small gift amenity, either bath salts or a sample skin pack. There were also spare items like wash sponges, drinks vending machines, a microwave, and a charger, though charger availability was limited. The bathroom was very nice, with a bidet toilet, but getting into it involves a big step. It didn't bother me, though someone with mobility or knee problems might want to ask the hotel what adjustments are available. Breakfast is optional and buffet style. Today's choices included hot and cold drinks, soup or stew, Napolitan spaghetti, eel with rice, sausage, scrambled eggs, bread, vegetables, onigiri, fish or tofu balls and more that I can't remember, plus yoghurt, fruit, and two desserts. Free WiFi worked fine during my stay on the 14th floor.

A coin laundry and drinks machines are right by the reception elevator, and the hotel can send and receive luggage via takkyubin, which made travel easier. The staff were able to understand and help me even when I had trouble speaking Japanese. It's a clean, friendly place in a good spot. The streets are quiet and not busy, but Nagoya station, cafes, and restaurants are still a reasonable walk away. My room was neat, though there wasn't much space for luggage. Also, watching TV requires paying a viewing fee. I'd recommend staying here.

Nothing fancy, just a typical small room with what you need. Nagoya castle is nearby, while the main train station is about a 25-minute walk.

Everything mostly went smoothly, so I don't have any real complaints about the stay. The checkout time is unusually early at 11 AM, though, and they wouldn't allow even a small extension without charging a fee. I've encountered more flexibility in other places across Asia, Europe, and the US. Japan and its people and culture are great, but rigidly following rules without making exceptions can get tiring.
