For a short stop or a few hours’ rest, this place can work. The Japanese staff were kind, but they didn’t speak English, so it’s better suited to people who know Japanese. My experience staying here for a trip wasn’t very good: the room smelled strongly of smoke, and the dim hallway lighting felt uncomfortable to me. On the plus side, parking was free, getting around was convenient, and there were restaurants nearby.

The prices are easy to follow: weekends run 5,000-6,000 yen and weekdays 3,000-4,000 yen. You have to lock the door yourself. If the cheaper rooms look unavailable, you can ask at the front desk, since they might still have vacancies. I sometimes bump into staff and say hello, which is a little embarrassing, haha.

I woke up to find every light off, though there hadn’t been any notice posted or given. Electricians came and said the lights had been shut off for electrical work, but nobody had told me. The response was terrible when I called about it, and they excused it by saying someone who hadn’t seen the notice had called the police. It makes no sense to switch off all the lights while guests are still staying there. Apparently some people were trapped inside. A truly unbelievable hotel. I never want to come back.

Room 306 was unbelievable. Part of the ceiling board was missing, leaving only a sheet, and the sheet had flipped up so you could see the space above the attic. The TV counter and table were also dirty with drink stains, hair, cigarette ash, and other debris. I asked to move rooms, but they said it wasn’t possible, so I decided to leave and asked them to come look. Then the door knob broke and I couldn’t get out. I was trapped for about two and a half hours, with people continuing to come and go during that time. I’ll never stay there again.

The rooms, prices, and service are all excellent, but some of the female staff have an incredibly irritating attitude. I just wanted to ask something over the phone, and they hung up without asking what it was. Getting a clear answer took ages, and the condescending way they spoke was unbearable. Unless that staff member changes, I don’t think I’ll be more satisfied. It’s a shame.
