The staff really made the stay for me. They were kind about my requests for a fan and a chair with a backrest, and did their best to help. There’s coffee and juice available until midnight, and you can fit a large suitcase in the compact Japanese-style room thanks to the luggage rack. The microwave is on the 6th floor, not in the room. The AC is centralized and is switched off during winter. The hotel is close to a subway station with connections to other train lines, though the station entrance with an elevator is a 13-15 minute walk away. It’s in Nishiki’s red-light district and near Sakae, while Osu Shopping District requires a train ride. Breakfast could use more variety for guests from different countries. It’s the same spread each day: four kinds of small, tasty bread, salad, granola, rice, and meatless curry. For JPY 800, I’ve had buffets with more choices in Osaka and Tokyo. Still, I had no other issues, would stay here again, and would recommend it.

We stayed here while passing through Nagoya on the way to Ghibli park. It suited our budget and gave us a nice, comfortable place to rest. The hotel is close to the shopping area and metro stations, with a 7-eleven right on the corner. It’s a business hotel, and most guests seemed to be traveling for work. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable. There’s a coin laundry, but only two machines, so try to get your washing done earlier in the evening.

The breakfast was the highlight, freshly baked bread, hot coffee, yogurt with granola, and more for just ¥500. The room itself was small and had the basic things like towels and a toothbrush. It’s also quite close to the nearest station and the city center.

They were happy to switch my reservation when I realized I’d accidentally booked a different branch. Breakfast was included, with pastries, soup, tea, and coffee. I’d recommend the place for solo travelers or small groups.

The reception ladies were super friendly, and breakfast was good. The rooms are tiny and look like they were built soon after WWII. The bathroom feels cramped for bigger people, and getting the water to the right temperature is a bit of a gamble.
