If you’re taking the overnight bus to Nagoya, keep this place in mind. It’s good value and really handy for freshening up.

The place felt poorly maintained, with an unpleasant environment indoors and outside. It was relatively expensive, too. I had a horrible experience and wouldn’t recommend coming here.

A cheap, convenient hotel with a public bath and a nice breakfast room down in the cellar.

The bathhouse had a lot of things broken, and it wasn’t comfortable with young people coming through to catch night buses. I hadn’t seen a wall-mounted shower like that in ages. You can get a 10-yen coin for the hair dryer at the front desk, but if you have long hair, expect drying it to cost around 200 yen. I’d heard there was a surveillance camera in the changing room and was watching for it, but couldn’t find one. Maybe it’s been removed, or maybe it’s hidden. My room was seriously tiny, about the size of two private cafe rooms. Even the width of the air conditioner seemed just right, lol. The bed was tiny too. Whether staying for under 5,000 yen feels like too much hassle, or an internet cafe sounds more comfortable, is up to you. The walls were so thin I could hear the person next door turning book pages. I lost the neighbor lottery and slept near a loudly snoring old man, though he might have been two rooms away. People rushing home late at night and other guests’ voices kept me from getting a proper night’s sleep. They advertised WiFi, but I couldn’t get a smartphone signal in my first-floor room. It’s rough not being able to use LINE or Instagram, and trying to browse whenever a weak signal did show up ate through a lot of data. The bathroom and sink were unisex, and I wouldn’t call them very clean. That’s what they mean by being penny wise and pound foolish. Next time I’ll try an internet cafe. If you’re petite, can sleep anywhere, and don’t mind having no internet, it could be a cheap place to stay.
