Toyoko Inn Nagoya Meieki Minami

The breakfast buffet was good, and check-in and checkout were smooth and hassle-free. My room was squeaky clean and spacious for one person, and the quiet, peaceful area let me get a good night’s sleep. The drawback is the distance from the train stations: Nagoya Station is about a 20-minute walk away, though there is a shuttle.

The room was okay and quiet, and the station isn’t too far; there’s a shuttle bus too. I didn’t expect the breakfast area to be so crowded at 7 am. It brought back memories of a school cafeteria. The self-service locker room was great: my backpack fit inside, or I could secure luggage with the chain and set a pin.

There’s a mega donqi nearby, and the hotel has a shuttle every 15 minutes since it’s far from nagoya station. The lobby has both a self check-in machine and a receptionist. Rooms were nice and clean, though the bed was too firm for me. Breakfast was good, but the dining area can get really busy.

The hotel has a place to leave your luggage first so you can head out shopping. It also provides a shuttle to the LV area of Nagoya JR,Kintetsu and Meitetsu area. I want to give staff Umeda credit: she let my family check in with the booking reference and register the passport later, while my brother was shopping. She was friendly and professional.
