We left right away and didn’t want to stay at all. The staff treated us badly and were very rude, and when they said that if we kept complaining we would have to move out, we decided to go. This was an awful experience. I’ve never stayed at another hotel that refused towels because children were staying for free. We booked for five and expected service for five. We didn’t choose not to pay for the children; the hotel chose not to charge for them. What were my children supposed to do, sleep on the floor because they weren’t charged? Sorry, we’ll never go back. We’d booked two rooms for five people but were given only three towels and pillows. The hotel said it didn’t provide towels for children and had no spare pillows. That’s like paying at a cafe and only then being told they’re out of coffee. The front desk staff member wasn’t very professional. He couldn’t understand English properly but kept saying “yes, yes,” and that wasn’t okay. We chose the hotel partly for breakfast, but there were no choices. Instead, we got a benton, whatever they put in the benton box, and it was nothing like the photos on the website. Booked customers hadn’t been notified of any breakfast changes or the reasons for them. They didn’t explain much and kept saying, “there is nothing I can do !! Please talk to booking.com.” They were quick to push their faults onto others and weren’t willing to help. They also tried to charge me for one night. I’d asked if I could get a full refund if we left then, and the front desk said “YES,YES.” We found another place right away, but then the desk changed its mind and said we had to pay for one night. In the end, they didn’t charge me. A big hotel should improve its English skills instead of relying only on a translator, and give staff better customer service training.
