The room was a bit roomier than a typical Japanese business hotel, and it had a small closet with hangers, which can be hard to find. The shower and bath were nice, and so was the bidet. One downside was the double bed placement, pushed into a corner so one person had to climb in and out from the foot of it, which was inconvenient. The price was good for what you get, and I’d stay here again if I needed a place on Kokusai Dori. The hotel sits at the upper end of Okinawa’s main tourist shopping street, making it handy if you want to stay around Kokusai Dori or take the monorail to popular spots like Shuri Castle. A bridge connects the station directly to the hotel, so getting around is easy, and I imagine the airport journey would be easy too. The lobby was very nice, with simple checkout machines and cold drinks during check-in hours. Staff were helpful, including one person who spoke English fluently, and the amenities were laid out for guests to help themselves.

The rooms are small, and breakfast starting at 6.30am may not work for people with early flights from Naha. There’s no takeaway breakfast, apart from a very small muffin. The hotel is close to the shopping street and within walking distance of Yui Stn, which is handy for getting to and from Naha Airport. Maintenance work is underway, making the level 1 entrance hard to find. If arriving by car, unload luggage on level 3, which connects directly to the hotel lobby without needing the lift. Remember to exchange your parking ticket with the hotel front desk for a day ticket costing Yen1000, with multiple access until 2pm the following day.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, arranging taxis and recommending restaurants. We paid for rooms with breakfast included, and the food was amazing. They also had handheld translators to help with the language barrier. The location was great, close to the monorail, shops, and restaurants.

The staff were all so friendly, and that made our stay even nicer. We really love Daiwa Roynet Hotel Naha Kokusai-dori and are already looking forward to coming back. The location and facilities are very convenient and well equipped. Thank you for the lovely birthday surprise for my son. He was so happy.

A good choice if you’re not driving or are only in Naha for a day or two. It’s near the tram station and the well-known Kokusai Street.
