I stayed from January 5 to January 7, 2026, and was very dissatisfied. When we arrived by car, instead of a doorman welcoming us, we were abruptly told to clear the entrance because a tour bus was coming. The way it was said felt neither polite nor professional, and left us feeling unwelcome. I can’t help wondering if we were treated that way because we were individual travelers rather than part of a tour group. We paid JPY 20,000 to upgrade two rooms, but the upgraded room had central air conditioning we couldn’t adjust, and it was uncomfortably cold. Staff offered an electric fan and a brief apology, which was nowhere near adequate for an upgraded room. Later, when I opened the bedding, the sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed. It was already 9:00 PM, and I was exhausted after a long day of travel, but I had to call housekeeping and wait for fresh sheets. Breakfast the next morning was just as disappointing. The restaurant seemed severely understaffed, with one chef making omelets and a wait of at least 30 minutes. I didn’t want to spend valuable vacation time in line. The rest of the selection was extremely limited, basically plain rice and boiled eggs. The bathtub had no non-slip mat, which raised safety concerns. The entrance slope is steep too, so drivers should be careful, as it could scrape either the front or rear bumper. After paying extra to upgrade, dealing with the cold room, sheets that appeared unchanged, and the bathtub issue was unacceptable. I can’t recommend this hotel. This stay fell well below the standard I expected, and I want a clear explanation and an appropriate response. Sincerely, Lee chencheng
