Hotel Living Inn Kenchoumaeeki

It’s a good spot for shopping on Kokusai-dori, about a seven-minute walk away, and Kencho-mae Station is also seven minutes on foot. There’s a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart nearby. The clean room was small but had plenty of supplies: towels in several sizes, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, a razor, disposable face towels, and a comb. The narrow hallway meant I could only open about one 22-inch suitcase. The shower water felt cold 🥺. A friend later reminded me there’s a temperature control on the bathroom wall, which I probably hadn’t noticed.

Kencho-mae Station is only about five minutes away, and Kokusai-dori Street is roughly a ten-minute walk. Three major convenience stores are nearby, along with an izakaya downstairs and a soba shop next door. The soba was delicious, so don’t miss it. The room mostly smelled of car perfume, while cooking smells were stronger outside it. The room was tiny with two beds, so there wasn’t space to open even a carry-on suitcase. Mine had to stay on the bed 🫠. The chairs were too big for the room and hit the bed if pulled out too far 🌚. There’s a washer and dryer that could be useful for a longer stay, but we didn’t use them on this quick trip. There’s a balcony too, though I think it may be for emergency exits. With the windows shut, the soundproofing was good even though the monorail is close. The sounds we noticed most were footsteps upstairs and chairs being dragged, though we could surprisingly hear guests talking in the bathroom.

The place was clean and good value, and I’d definitely stay at this apartment hotel again. There’s a gas dryer and washing machine, and you can open the balcony for photos. FamilyMart and 7-Eleven are right in front, with Kokusai-dori and Ryoma Department Store within walking distance. A small hotel staff counter at the first-floor entrance made things convenient.

The rooms are modest in size but perfectly adequate, and the place was clean with friendly staff. It’s handy for the prefectural government station, Kokusai Street, Rumo Department Store, and the meeting point for bus tours booked online. Recommended for Taiwanese friends who are still deciding on a trip! 👍👍
