Ukishima Inn

They made a rough first night much easier. One of our kids got sick, and by morning the staff had changed the sheets and taken care of everything without making a fuss. The place is spotless and really comfortable. It’s small, but laid out so well that everything fits. We had two rooms for the kids and us, and they were right next to each other. We’ll stay here again if we come back.

The host was kind and quick to answer my questions, including about getting around. I spent four nights here in late May 2023 and found the compact room comfortable, with quality furnishings and everything I needed. The futon goes on tatami mats, and the well-arranged kitchen made it easy to bring back treats from the nearby market. There are plenty of little restaurants, shops, and drinking spots in the neighborhood, while the street itself still feels local. I hope to come back soon.

A clean, compact place with the daily basics and a bright terrace. It’s conveniently located if you’re without a car and like bar hopping. I’d recommend it for a solo stay, since the space is small. Enjoy!

Yoshi-san was so kind and helpful when we arrived. The guesthouse is a minute’s walk from the main shopping street, and everything was sparkling clean and tidy. It’s a cozy little home with tatami and futons, and the price is a bargain. The futon was incredibly comfortable, even better than the ones at traditional onsen hotels.
