Hotel Route Inn Naha Tomariko

An ordinary business hotel where you get what you pay for. The staff were nice, and my single room was clean, but extremely small. I didn't try breakfast or the hot bath. The bath seemed very busy, though. One safety issue really bothered me. The location worked well: Miebashi station and Kokusai Street are within walking distance. There are lots of convenience stores nearby, including a 24/7 MaxValue about five minutes away. I also liked having a separate AC in the room and being able to dim the lights and change their warmth with a remote. The bathroom is dated, with a two-handle faucet, and the old toilet seat has an analog bidet that doesn't get warm. The elevators took a long time in both the morning and evening, when guests were going between their rooms and the hot bath. The desk chair also left me expecting back and bottom pain if I tried to work there. One morning I left my key card in the room and asked reception to let me in. It was my first time meeting that young receptionist, and she'd never seen me come in from outside. She handed me a second key card right away without checking who I was, and told me to return both cards at checkout. I could have been anyone asking for access to a random room, and it made me feel very unsafe. The staff need better training.
