Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa Hotel

Having connecting rooms at Hyatt Regency Naha made a big difference for our family of three generations. They’re one of the few hotels in Naha to offer them, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with great views. Kokusai Dori is right outside, so it was easy to shop, eat, and stroll around with both the children and our elderly relatives. The team made the stay memorable, too. They helped with our bags as soon as we arrived and arranged a cab to the airport early in the morning, always with a smile. When our family was getting ready for a photo by the Christmas tree, a team member noticed my husband was taking it and offered to take the picture for us. We ended up with a lovely family photo. It rained heavily and the wind was strong for our first two days, but staff still stood out by the front porch to help arriving and departing guests with luggage and transport. Their professionalism and care in that weather really impressed us. We have a lot of respect and appreciation for the team and the property. We’d certainly return, and recommend it to families looking for comfort, a convenient location, and attentive service.

The facilities and building look a bit dated, but everything was maintained well and worked fine during my stay. Getting there and parking were easy by car. It’s a practical choice if easy access matters to you. Kokusai Street is a short walk away, though the hotel itself isn’t right on the main street. It may not suit someone after a modern or luxurious stay, but I didn’t find the walk inconvenient.

The room was cramped and the view wasn’t much, which is what you get in a city hotel. We’d just come from oceanfront stays at scenic resorts in Motobu and Onna, so there was no comparison. Still, it was very conveniently located, just steps from Kokusai dori St. and Makishi market. Breakfast had a decent international buffet selection. Service was good, with the classic Japanese mix of politeness and efficiency. The carpark attendants were especially helpful, even guiding our car into the elevator.

The view isn’t much, but that’s the city. The location is great, and the paid parking was useful, even if it took a little while for the robo parking to bring the car in and out. The rooms are slightly smaller than at other Hyatt's I’ve stayed in, but the size was fine. This was the best kept and designed Hyatt I’ve been to so far, and the only one with good water pressure. Service was excellent, and I was happy with the stay.
