Mercure Okinawa Naha

The rooms were clean and well maintained, small but cozy, and we had a great stay. The hotel is beside a Yui Rail station, with convenience stalls close by. The only drawback outside was the parking: the spaces are really narrow and better suited to experienced drivers. There is a parking fee.

We stayed here in late January 2026. Our room was spacious and clean, and we got an upgrade through Accor elite membership, though it meant separate beds. The three lifts were very efficient. The free breakfast buffet and evening lounge were a nice touch, with Okinawa soba and Orion beer available. Across our five days, breakfast had three different menus, though the fruit and salad bar stayed the same. There was even a fun DIY onigiri station. The location worked well for me. The monorail is right beside the hotel, but surprisingly quiet, even for me as a light sleeper. It's four stations from the airport and two from the popular shopping street. Two convenience stores are within two minutes, and the view of the canal and park opposite was fantastic. The park has a 1066m running track that I used. The nearest Anytime Fitness is a 5-minute or 14-minute walk away. The hotel doesn't have a gym. The main annoyance was parking. It's a lift system, and staff have to operate it to get your car in or out. We found open parking lots two minutes away and used those instead because they were much quicker. Staff are only available until 10pm, so on nights I got back later, I had to go into the lobby and ask them to open the parking. Sometimes I had to queue if other guests were at the counter.

I like the hotel's eco-friendly touches, including a water station on every floor and a refreshing hibiscus welcome drink. The location, service, and rooms were nearly perfect, but I was surprised and disappointed that there was no body lotion. I even called the front desk to check, and they confirmed they simply don't offer it. As a loyal Accor member, this was a first for me, and it didn't feel in line with the chain's usual standards for such a basic amenity. I also wish the hotel had a gym. The extra pillows they offered had an odd, radish-like smell 😅.

It was a comfortable stay at Mercure Okinawa Naha and a handy base for exploring Okinawa. The car rental service right downstairs had very reasonable prices. Don Quijote is within walking distance, and 7-Eleven and FamilyMart are just outside the hotel. The monorail is easy to get to as well. Senagajima Island, where you can watch planes and get amazing soufflé pancakes, is also only 10-15 minutes away.
