My Place - Hostel

The shared area is spacious and has a nice mix of places to hang out, including a kitchen with a bar, tables, and a tatami area that's great for socializing. The staff are really friendly and helpful. You can book activities there easily, and get discounts for snorkeling or diving. I really recommend this hostel.

After two weeks of traveling and meeting people, I needed somewhere to rest, and My Place worked out just right. I booked a private room that was clean, neat, comfortable, and intimate, and it felt more like a hotel than a hostel. I didn't really meet other guests, since most people seemed to use the place for sleeping and storing luggage. There was some partying noise in the evening, but it was still fairly quiet by hostel standards. The staff were kind and helpful, and there's a nice view of the port. I'd booked the room so I could take the ferry to the national park on the islands, but I needed the rest more. I don't regret staying in. Being right next to the airport was another plus.

The common living room made it easy to meet other travelers, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, with lots of storage, and the port is close by for day trips to the nearby islands.

I picked this hostel to make an early ferry easier to catch. The dorm beds felt roomy and comfortable, and there’s a locker for each person. You also get a shared kitchen, laundry, and plenty of space, with a convenience store close by. Staff can speak English and Japanese. It was an affordable stay with the basics covered. I only wish the dorm bathroom had better ventilation and there were proper shoe shelves.
