Secret House Makishi

The room was spacious, with a balcony, and the location was great. We could walk to a good restaurant and bar, and there’s a paid parking lot across the street even though the property itself has no parking. The bed was very comfortable, though smaller than we’re used to, probably a double or full rather than a queen. The only snag was having to ask for the lockbox code to get the room key the night before. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Naha.

We couldn’t reach anyone on any channel, and had heard nothing even three days before we were due to leave. They finally sent the password a few hours before we left, thankfully. The room itself was really big, and it came with lots of amenities, even saline solution and a contact lens case. Turn left when you leave the hotel and Kokusai Street is about a three-minute walk away. I’d come back next time.

Great location, clean accommodation. There’s parking nearby for 1,000 yen for 24 hours.

I came back after staying here a few years ago, when I was really happy with the clean rooms and convenient spot right in front of Kokusai Street. This time, though, the toilet paper hadn’t been replaced and the balcony hadn’t been cleaned, so the stains stood out. Some wear and tear is understandable, but I was very disappointed.
