Terrace Resort Shintoshin

We stayed for seven nights in January 18 at this well-priced serviced apartment in the Omoromachi (Yui-rail) district. We were initially unsure about having no reception, so here’s how check-in worked for us: one day before arrival, Expedia sent a hotel message with the entrance and room door codes plus our carpark lot number. We picked up our OTS car, arrived after 3pm, and got in easily. Our double room for two was a reasonable size by Japanese standards. As the listing says housekeeping is limited, the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. There was a handheld vacuum in the wardrobe. The housekeeper, a guy who drove a teal blue car, came around 10am daily, and we got his help refilling the body shampoo. On the fourth day, replacement towels and toothbrushes were left outside our door. Ameku Riubou Rakuichi, a 24-hour supermarket with Daiso, is an easy walk away. Further along are Naha Main Place and DFS T-Galleria, and we also took a leisurely 3km walk to Kokusai Dori Intl Street. For buses, Ameku Line 99 from Naha Intl AP stops directly across from the hotel after OPF, while Nago Line 120 stops on the main road opposite Lawson. We had an 8:55am Jetstar flight and took a taxi to NIAP for ¥1740, about 20 minutes. NIAP starts operating at 7am, so it’s better to get a cab from the hotel around 6:30am. We didn’t take the Ameku 99 bus because its first bus to NIAP is at 7:05am and boards in front of the hotel.

A smart, really nice flat in Naha, Okinawa, with great facilities. I’d happily come back on my next trip to Okinawa.

A great little apartment with everything you need. It’s fairly close to town, just a short bus ride away.

Tiny room, but very clean and had all the essentials. Very good value for the price.
