Wires Hotel

The welcome was friendly, even though the receptionist didn't speak English. It feels more like a guest house than a hotel, but that was fine, and everything else was good. The room was a typical Okinawa-style flat with a built-in kitchen and balcony. It's right next to Naminoue Beach, where you can enjoy the sunset, though it's not close to bus or light rail stops. There's an Aeon nearby, but it doesn't have much fresh meat.

The gentleman at the front, possibly the owner, was polite and friendly and made my wife and me feel welcome. We had an amazing stay. For the price, being right in front of the beach was great. The room was very clean and tidy, with plenty of amenities and everything needed for either a short or long stay. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Okinawa.

Nakamura-san, Higa-san, and the rest of the Wires Hotel staff were kind and accommodating to me and my boyfriend during our weeklong vacation. The apartment-like layout made our time in Okinawa memorable, and the room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities that made it feel like home. I especially appreciated the washer and dryer. The hotel is across from Naminoue Beach, five minutes on foot from the 24-hour MaxValu Wakasa, and an easy 15-30 minute walk, depending on your pace, to Naha Bus Terminal and Kokusai Dori. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, though strong winds at night can make sleeping beside a window difficult, so bring earplugs if that's an issue for you. It's a good fit for foreigners with little or no Japanese who are comfortable using a translator app.

The rooms have cooking facilities, a washing machine, and a fridge, and the location is hard to beat. Naminoue Shrine is close, the hotel faces the beach, Naha Bus terminal is a 15-minute walk away, and there's a 24-hour supermarket two minutes on foot. Be sure to book an ocean view room. The Wires staff were super helpful, and Mt Tsuduki helped me so much. Great value all around.
