You can spot the JAXA rocket site far off, so it seems like you might be able to watch a launch from here. The setting is peaceful and the views are nice, though it's a fair way from everything. I'd suggest having a rental car.
Not many people seem to know about this course, which is a shame. There are lovely views, some memorable holes, and enough variety for golfers at different levels. It's a wonderful course and, to me, one of Japan's best.
Some patches are rough, and the water doesn't drain properly there.
I went for a mix of rocket watching and golf. The launch was postponed, so I didn't get to see it, but I really enjoyed two rounds of resort golf. Since I played on weekdays, there were only about ten groups each day and we could take our time. The first day was tough because the rough had grown long and I had a hard time finding my ball. I was also disappointed that the greens looked dried out from the summer weather.
I haven't made it there so far, but I'd really like to go and live there someday.
