The view stretches out in every direction, and this place has just about everything you could think of.

Everything was just right!

I’d dreamed of staying on Kouri Island ever since my first visit a few years back, and this time that wish finally came true. We were five adults staying in early February 2026. Since it’s a one-room rental, splitting the cost made it a good deal. The staff explained how to use the facilities at check-in and shared some local suggestions. We couldn’t make it to those places this time, but it was easy to ask questions and feel at ease. We cooked both nights. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, including utensils and tableware, and even a knife sharpener! We bought food from a butcher and supermarket in Nago City and made Agu pork shabu-shabu at the table on the portable induction cooker, using Okinawa soba soup from the supermarket for the broth. It was inexpensive and easy to use. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Agu pork and island tofu. Salt and pepper were the only seasonings provided, which was fine since there was no need to worry about expiration dates. I was happy to find mineral water in the fridge too. Laundry was easy because the washing machine also dries clothes, and detergent was supplied. There wasn’t any fabric softener, so bring your own if you need it. There were clothespins and what looked like a drying rack or pole in the bedroom. Bath detergent and other supplies were under the sink. The sink had two bowls, so no morning arguments while getting ready! Towels and other essentials were provided for each person for both nights, and I felt comfortable throughout the stay. Because it was cold, we chose the second floor with the jacuzzi. Next time, I think I’d pick the first floor with the pool, though the second floor definitely has the better view. We spent time on the balcony eating Blue Seal ice cream and having coffee and our own drinks. We really enjoyed our time in Okinawa. We’d love to stay here again, and wholeheartedly recommend this villa!
