Sakura Coast Nakijin

We spent the evening looking up at the stars, then had coffee the next morning while watching the sun rise beyond the bridge. The framed view of the blue Kouri Bridge against the Yanbaru greenery was even more striking than the spacious terrace, kitchen, and tatami mats. The inn sits on a hill and has two charming triangular roofs, with stylish interiors, careful details, and very comfortable beds. The owners, a cheerful married couple, made us feel at ease. There aren't any shops nearby, so stock up at the Co-op. To find the inn, follow the sign for the restaurant COCONEEL next door, and make sure to have dinner there too. I'd recommend staying more than one night.

Three nights here gave me a chance to properly unwind, and I'd give the place six stars if I could. In the quiet setting, I could watch Kouri Bridge from bed or lounge on the terrace and see butterflies and bees resting on flowers in the beautifully tended garden. There was birdsong, a gentle breeze, and on clear nights, stars above the dark neighborhood. It felt like a real break from daily stress. The room was comfortable and clean, with well-kept bathrooms and a soft-water bath that left my skin and hair silky. The bed was so comfortable I slept deeply, and the big fluffy blanket and terrace sandals were thoughtful touches. You can feel how carefully the owners look after every detail to make guests comfortable. They even made me earrings from shells and beads to suit my taste. They're now a favorite keepsake from my stay, and I want to return to Okinawa just to stay here again.

A little hidden guesthouse run by friends of mine. Each visit, I love the view over Kouri Bridge, the starry sky, and the chance to do absolutely nothing. They always welcome me so warmly. It's truly wonderful.

Thanks for having me for a short stay. It was so much fun that the time felt far too brief. I was touched by the kindness of Kim-chan and her mother, and Dal is adorable. I'll definitely come back next time. Too bad there isn't a six-star rating!
