It’s been nearly eight years since I stayed here, but I still remember it clearly. The hotel had lovely service and a fantastic hot spring. I was very sad to hear it was affected by the recent earthquake, and I hope the business recovers quickly. Wishing them all the best.

The private bath added to the calm, and having our own room with a deck gave us a peaceful place to take in the tranquil water and beautiful gardens. Tadaya Ryokan in Wakuraonsen was a real highlight of our 12-day Japan trip. This historic property overlooks the bay and surpassed what we expected. Dinner and breakfast were traditional Japanese meals and both were exceptional. The staff took good care of us, and the seaside views and amenities made for a memorable local experience. We highly recommend Tadaya Ryokan.

We spent one night at Tadaya in Dec 2018 while visiting Noto Peninsula. Their omotenashi stayed with us. The rooms were clean and pleasant, the futon was comfortable, and the half-board meals were good. We also loved the onsen, especially the sea view from the outdoor bath. There’s onsite parking, too. One of the best ryokans we’ve stayed at.

Two days didn’t feel like enough at Tadaya Ryokan. My family and I had a wonderful visit to the Noto Peninsula this week, and we loved the quiet countryside walks, the onsen morning and evening, and watching sunset from the pier. It was an exceptional stay.

The entry-level rooms could use newer furnishings and renovation, but they were still perfectly fine, and the futons were very comfortable. The lobby is nicely decorated, and the onsen is spacious and good. We had a very nice stay.
