The price felt like exceptional value for the stay and accommodations, and we'd happily return if we get the chance. The place has an old but charming feel, with a sense of its history and the care it's received over the years. It isn't the most luxurious option around, but our group was comfortable the whole time and never felt out of place. It seems like the kind of place that has loyal guests who've returned for years. I was a little nervous about visiting a ryokan in a remote area with our limited Japanese, but the staff made check-in and dining easy for us. They took dedicated time with us after helping the native-speaking guests check in, which eased our stress. We had an excellent stay with friends.

The open-air Onsen has a lovely view over the bay, and the food is superb. The waitresses are friendly and very nice. It's a good spot for a group trip or team-building, with rooms that can fit more than six people.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious, with a different menu each day. There's also a large shop in the lobby selling local treats and drinks. The newer rooms are spacious and well equipped, with an Onsen bath in the room. Staff could communicate in basic English.

The hot spring faces the ocean, and the view was really nice. They also picked us up at Wakura onsen station and dropped us at the bus terminal for our tour the next day. One of us can't eat fish, so I emailed in advance and they replaced the sashimi with beef. They also upgraded us to a much larger room with a partial ocean view. We had a really good stay and will return when we're in the area.

My train was delayed by heavy snow, but they were able to accommodate me and pick me up at the station. The reservation staff could communicate in English by email, and there were helpful, attentive English-speaking staff as well. The food was excellent, and the view of Noto island was lovely.
