Tina and Toru made us feel so welcome in their countryside home. They were gracious hosts, and the stay was memorable. The house was comfortable and beautifully furnished, with thoughtful design details. They’re both photographers and have a real eye for those details. We had a fantastic time and hope to return with the whole family.

Tina and Toru took us on a day trip to Ine and around the area, and showed us some great restaurants. Their local knowledge gave us a way to see things we never would have found by ourselves. We also had a barbecue one evening, with a beautiful spread of food to cook on the grill. Casa Miyama is among our best memories of Japan. The traditional house and its more than 100-year-old garden are impeccably cared for, right down to the details. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast was a feast, and the bath felt like heaven. Tina and Toru have brought the house to life, with their personal photography upstairs, including a dark room and studio. It was a wonderful stay in the countryside, and I especially recommend it for families with children.

After two weeks of travelling around Japan, Casa Miyama was just the quiet break we needed. The setting is beautiful and serene, and Tina and Toru were kind, welcoming, and thoughtful throughout. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed, and so grateful for our stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful escape in nature.

The artistic details around Casa Miyama, both inside and out, made the place feel magical. The owners prepared meals that went well beyond what we expected, and arranged a cherry blossom experience my family will always treasure. It was my favorite part of our first trip to Japan.

The natural surroundings are perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The house is beautiful and has been remodelled with great care for the details. The hosts are wonderfully friendly, cook delicious food, and make sure you’re comfortable. It felt like a unique Japanese experience and a real hidden gem.
